 Karma’s World on Netflix follows middle schooler Karma Grant, an aspiring musical artist and rapper with big talent and an even bigger heart. Smart, resilient, and deeply empathetic, Karma pours her soul into songwriting, channeling her feelings into whip-smart rhymes with passion, courage and her signature brand of humor. Created by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, this show is a funny, heartfelt, triumphant musical series for Black girls, and all kids, everywhere around the globe. Being a Black girl has always been a magical experience — we just gave it a soundtrack.

This Pride Month, we learn how to reconcile the violent history of the movement with the modern day celebration.
